Job summary

Kenton Black, on behalf of a UK subsidiary, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the monthly close and provide valuable financial insight to Commercial and Operational teams. You will help ensure accurate reporting, timely journals, and robust variance analysis.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will drive improvements in financial processes, manage WIP and subcontract payments, and work with cross-functional teams with a clear path toward a Management Accountant

Qualifications

At least 3–5 years in a similar role with exposure to accounting in a complex environment.
Experience supporting month-end processes and management accounting.

Responsibilities

Support the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, P&L reporting and variance analysis.
Provide clear financial commentary, investigate variances and challenge unusual transactions.
Collaborate with Commercial Managers and operational teams to ensure WIP is captured and reported, and subcontract payments are processed.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities and ensure financial governance and policy compliance.
Contribute to process improvements in financial reporting and analysis.
