Job summary

Brett Martin is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for on-site work in Coventry, with flexible hybrid options. You will support monthly management accounts, prepare journals, and perform reconciliations, while embedding analytics and automation in day-to-day processes.

You will work with the Finance Manager to analyze data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and deliver incisive business commentary, leveraging AI tools and advanced Excel for reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounts department with GL postings.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and report findings.
• Strong understanding of accounting systems and IT tools.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to clean, structure and report data for KPI tracking.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journals and manage prepayments and accruals.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support close.
• Create dashboards and clean datasets from finance, stock, and payroll sources.
• Support KPI tracking and commercial forecasting with analytics.
