Job summary

Confidential, a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Cornwall, is seeking a Temporary Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. You will move beyond purchase ledger to support month-end, management accounts, and project accounting in a hybrid role.

You'll work with experienced finance professionals and senior stakeholders, gaining hands-on exposure to commercial finance activities while developing your accounting skills and CV.

Qualifications

• You’ll ideally have AAT Level 4 or be actively studying towards it.
• Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
• Strong reconciliation and purchase ledger experience.
• Knowledge of accruals and prepayments.
• Good Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and desire to learn.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, evolving business.
