Job summary

Canopius is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, build and maintain analytics and reporting capabilities. The role focuses on turning business questions into reliable insights using Power BI, Databricks and semantic models.

You will collaborate with Data colleagues and business stakeholders, contribute to data strategy, and support the migration of legacy reports onto modern platforms in a hybrid Manchester-based role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on development experience with Power BI, including DAX, tabular/semantic models and paginated reports.
• Good understanding of analytics engineering principles, semantic/dimensional modelling and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience building clear, reliable and user-friendly reports and dashboards that support business decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics engineering and reporting solutions that help business users access trusted insight and make informed decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to translate information needs into clear, deliverable requirements.
• Design, build and maintain semantic models, datasets and reporting solutions using Power BI and Databricks.
