Everfox in London (Hybrid) seeks an AI Software Engineer who thrives in unfamiliar codebases and ships AI-driven features. You will enhance workflows using modern AI tools and collaborate across teams to deliver high‑quality, maintainable software.

You have 4+ years of professional software development, experience with agentic tools, strong CS fundamentals, and a willingness to obtain government clearance if required. The role offers a competitive benefits package in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex) and building custom extensions.
• Strong in at least one programming language and the ability to learn others quickly.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, APIs, testing, security.
• Ability to read unfamiliar code and reason about changes impact.
• Clear communicator who collaborates well with partner teams.
• Willingness to obtain Government Security Clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain features across varied languages and internal codebases.
• Add AI capabilities to products: model/API integration, prompt/context design, retrieval.
• Build evaluation, testing, and guardrails for measurable AI behavior.
• Use AI tooling to improve development speed, testing, and docs.
• Prototype quickly to de‑risk complex problems.
• Ramp up fast in unfamiliar systems and contribute early.
• Work as guest engineer across teams with clean handovers.
• Share patterns and tooling to improve engineering practices.
• Uphold quality, security, logging, testing, and responsible AI data handling.
• Contribute to CI/CD and developer tools to accelerate delivery.
