Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an SME Relationship Manager for Agriculture in the Poole/ Dorchester region. You will manage ~100 agriculture client groups, meeting around seven clients weekly via face-to-face and Teams, to understand their needs and options.

You will build strong relationships, identify opportunities to deepen relationships with relevant products, assess credit risk, and help clients become more sustainable, all within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Relationship management in geographic area; build profile with external influencers.
• Track record of winning new business in corporate/commercial banking; broad local network.
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate credit papers for new lending facilities and renewals.
• Ability to assess and manage credit risk and recognise emerging issues.
• Ability to evaluate information objectively and reach practical conclusions.
• Ability to work with product experts, service colleagues and intermediaries to deliver client outcomes.
• Knowledge of financial products to help business clients consider suitable options.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with agriculture clients, providing tailored support based on their business needs and financial goals.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through relevant products and services, involving product specialists where appropriate.
• Assess and manage credit risk, preparing credit papers for new facilities and renewals using the Bank's established tools.
• Help clients consider how they could make their businesses more sustainable, in line with the Group's ESG responsibilities.
• Work with service and delivery colleagues to resolve requests effectively and help clients understand the available service model.
• Represent the Group in meetings with professional partners and intermediaries, supporting collaboration and adoption of tools to improve client and colleague experience.
