Job summary

Edenbrook Ltd. in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Technician to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage supplier invoices, payments, employee expenses, and reconciliations within a fast-paced, hybrid-working environment.

The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, strong vendor relationships, and robust controls while supporting continuous process improvements across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience processing supplier invoices and payments.
• Ability to reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and supplier invoices with correct cost centre and GL coding.
• Prepare, process and record supplier payment runs.
• Respond to internal and external queries about invoices and payments.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Review employee expense claims with policy compliance.
• Complete monthly/quarterly reconciliations (bank, control, supplier, card).
• Prepare intercompany invoices and post to GL; monitor receipts vs terms.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve balances.
• Open/close employee corporate card accounts as needed.
• Maintain internal control documentation and authorisations.
• Develop monthly/quarterly KPI reports with analysis and commentary.
• Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled.
• Document accounts payable processes with clear financial judgement.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Support wider finance team and projects led by Senior FP&A Accountant.
• Contribute to professional conduct and customer-focused outcomes.
