Job summary

Associated British Foods (ABF) is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead AP teams and drive efficient supplier payments. The role reports to the Group AP Manager and focuses on improving controls, processes and stakeholder service across the P2P cycle.

The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, coach colleagues, manage performance and deliver measurable improvements while ensuring compliance with AP policies and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an AP team in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of AP teams and processes.
• Monitor workloads, service levels and deadlines.
• Improve productivity, accuracy and on-time payments.
• Resolve supplier and stakeholder queries; act as escalation point.
• Coach and develop colleagues with objective setting and performance management.
• Standardise processes using data and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain procedures, controls documentation and audit evidence.
• Support business change and training across AP.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, prompt payment, fraud-prevention and Financial Control Framework.
