Ashdown Group is seeking an accomplished Accountant for a hybrid role, combining home-based work two days per week with three days in the office. You will support the finance team with monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and reconciliations, while engaging in budgeting and cash flow projections to aid strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Personable finance professional with strong analytical skills.
• Studying for CIMA or ACCA with study support provided.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations; support month-end and year-end close.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and variance analysis; explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Process purchase invoices and supplier payments; review purchase ledger and creditor analysis; reconcile company credit cards; process foreign supplier payments; liaise with suppliers; support VAT returns and maintain records.
