Job summary

SB Software, part of 365 Retail Markets, hires a 1st Line Application Support Engineer in Sheffield. You will help customers get the most from Vendmanager and Coffeemanager, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear guidance.

The role is hybrid with 2 office days per week, offering £25,000–£28,000 DOE and a 37.5-hour week, with opportunities to grow within a growing UK software business.

Qualifications

• Experience in first-line IT support or software helpdesk.
• Strong customer service background and enjoy helping people.
• Excellent telephone manner and clear written communication.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and Windows environments.
• Ability to explain technical information simply and patiently.

Responsibilities

• Responding to first-line software support inquiries by phone and email.
• Investigating and troubleshooting customer issues with our software apps.
• Providing friendly, clear guidance to technical and non-technical users.
• Logging and tracking requests through our ticketing systems.
• Escalating complex issues to second-line support and development teams.
• Keeping customers updated through to resolution.
• Supporting customers on Windows and Android platforms.
• Assisting with software testing ahead of new releases.
