Job summary

Our client requires a Site Manager to act as Contractor Representative on a major HV transmission project on the South coast. You will direct site teams to meet project requirements, monitor progress, and coordinate interfaces with subcontractors.

The role includes CDM oversight, site recordings, and mobilisation/demobilisation, with emphasis on safety and quality within the Construction Phase Plan.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic qualification (civil/electrical eng) or demonstrable equivalent.
• Formal Site Management qualification (e.g. SMSTS).
• EUSR registration, or willingness to register for NGET.
• Valid competency card acceptable for NGET sites (CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, etc).
• Demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and safety discipline.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all site activities to meet design, programme and quality standards.
• Monitor progress against the programme and resolve local issues to maintain productivity.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams for smooth workflow and interface management.
• Report daily progress, issues and resource needs to the Lead Project Manager.
• Keep accurate site records: permits, inspections and daily logs.
• Oversee site establishment, mobilisation, demobilisation and welfare arrangements.
