Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Glasgow or Birmingham seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the Automation and Communication scope for HVDC projects. You will join a fast-paced engineering management team, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders across diverse interfaces.

You will drive engineering activities, develop new solutions for complex projects, and manage cost and schedules while ensuring safety and adherence to Hitachi Energy’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a technical field (electrical/energy/oil & gas or equivalent).
• Experience leading HVDC or high-technology engineering projects is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities and ensure complete multidisciplinary information.
• Drive development of new solutions for complex HVDC projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
• Create work plans and cost estimates; manage budget and schedule within contract.
• Interact with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain.
