Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Automation and Communication scope for HVDC projects based in Glasgow or Birmingham. This role offers opportunities for learning and development while working with a diverse, high-paced engineering team on global projects.

You will coordinate engineering disciplines, support testing and commissioning, and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule. Strong leadership, communication, and energy-sector experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a technical field related to HVDC or engineering.
• Experience in project management and bid management.
• Energy sector experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Automation and Communication scope for HVDC projects.
• Coordinate engineering discipline across multiple projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning.
• Create work plans, cost estimates and manage budget and schedule.
• Interact with customers, officials, contractors and supply chain.
