Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED, based in Glasgow, seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary Plants & Civil teams on HVDC converter station projects. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, procurement and commissioning, coordinating closely with the Plants Lead Engineer and Project Engineering Manager to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires a strong engineering background, proven HVDC project delivery experience, and exceptional

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience delivering HVDC, HV/MV substations, or large-scale power infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams across Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Plant Engineering.
• Fluent written and spoken English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary Plants & Civil engineering teams delivering HVDC converter station projects.
• Develop and implement execution strategies for Plants & Civil scope across concept, design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Control scope, schedule, budget, risks and changes while ensuring quality, safety and standards compliance.
• Coordinate interfaces across electrical, civil and plant disciplines and report progress to stakeholders.
