Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Lead Engineer to steer HVDC projects and coordinate global teams. You will be the main technical contact for customers and drive engineering activities from development through to commissioning.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure safety and quality, and deliver solutions within budget and contract scope. English fluency and UK work authorization are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar lead role.
• Power industry experience required.
• HVDC knowledge is a plus.
• Must have UK work authorization.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers.
• Drive multidisciplinary information in engineering development.
• Lead development of new solutions for complex projects.
• Drive completion of all engineering activities on projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Prepare project documents within budget, scope and contract.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate risks.
• Maintain technical quality in contracts, documents and deliveries.
