Job summary

Ten11 in Croydon (South London) is seeking an experienced Shift Technician / Deputy Data Centre Lead to join a major financial-services data centre. The role combines hands-on engineering with supervisory duties, acting as 2IC for the site and supporting leadership to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The successful candidate will be an HVAP engineer, equipped to manage HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, cooling and BMS infrastructure while driving incident response, RAMS and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• HVAP/HV Authorised Person essential.
• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of HV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure within a live data centre.
• Act as HV Authorised Person (HVAP) for HV switching, isolations and safe systems of work.
• Operate as the 2IC within the engineering team supporting site leadership.
• Provide technical guidance to shift engineers and coordinate specialists.
