Job summary

Password Services, part of Johnson Controls, requires a mobile HVAC & refrigeration service engineer to service, maintain and repair equipment across hospitality, retail and commercial sites within the Birmingham–Watford corridor. This role involves on-site fault-finding, regular reporting, and an on-call rota with paid overtime.

You will work independently in the field, travelling to client sites, completing documentation, and building strong client relationships while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration service.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Background in hospitality, retail, or similar environments is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Fault find on systems including AHUs, chillers, cold rooms, display cabinets and ice machines.
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Deliver first-time fixes where possible.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with clients on-site.
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 8 with paid overtime & standby).

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration service
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Background in hospitality, retail, or similar environments is beneficial
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role
• Essential: F-Gas certification
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning
• Full UK driving licence
• Desirable: Basic gas knowledge or qualifications
