Job summary

Password Services, part of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Mobile HVAC & Refrigeration Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems across hospitality, retail and commercial sites. The role covers on‑site visits with an emphasis on first‑time fixes, accurate reporting, and strong client relations in a field‑based capacity.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ2 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, F‑Gas certification and a Full UK driving licence, with on‑call rotations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration service.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning.
• Essential: F‑Gas certification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: basic gas knowledge or qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Fault find on systems including AHUs, chillers, cold rooms, display cabinets and ice machines.
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Deliver first‑time fixes where possible.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.

HVAC & Refrigeration Service Engineer (Mobile) Password Services (Part of Johnson Controls) Location: Birmingham – Watford corridor Looking to take your career to the next level? Join Password Services, part of Johnson Controls, and work with a range of blue-chip clients across hospitality, retail, and commercial sectors. This is a mobile role where you’ll focus on the service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Fault find on systems including AHUs, chillers, cold rooms, display cabinets and ice machines
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs
• Deliver first‑time fixes where possible
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation
• Build strong relationships with clients on‑site
• Participate in an on‑call rota (1 in 8 with paid overtime & standby)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration service
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Background in hospitality, retail, or similar environments is beneficial
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based role
• Essential: F‑Gas certification
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration / Air Conditioning
• Full UK driving licence
• Desirable: Basic gas knowledge or qualifications
