Job summary

MacStaff Limited is seeking a Mechanical Estimator for HVAC/MEP projects in Bury, Greater Manchester. The role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive estimates for specialist mechanical engineering works across high-value, technically challenging projects.

You will work with design, engineering and project teams to influence solutions from tender through to contract award, with travel to client meetings and sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating mechanical HVAC, ductwork or MEP installations from drawings and specs.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail for tender submissions.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications and tender docs.
• Review ITTs to identify technical, commercial and risk factors.
• Develop cost plans covering materials, labour, fabrication, installation and subcontractors.
• Coordinate submissions with design, procurement and project teams for tenders.
