Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Bolton is seeking an HVAC multi-skilled engineer to maintain electrical and mechanical plant across building services. The role involves fault-finding on VRV/VRF systems, managing risks, and working with the BMS to optimise environmental conditions.

You will supervise contractors, prepare risk assessments, and comply with F‑Gas regulations while supporting safety and energy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship recognised or time-served.
• Experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds standard.
• Strong multi-skilled capability with fault-finding.
• Ability to supervise contractors and prepare risk assessments.
• F‑Gas certification and experience with refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks on onsite equipment and spares.
• Control environmental conditions via the BMS for efficiency.
• Fault-find on HVAC plant including VRV/VRF systems.
• Work safely with refrigerants in line with F‑Gas rules.
• Supervise subcontractors and support safety matters.
• Partake in on‑call rota for out‑of‑hours duties.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
• Record tasks in CAFM and plan daily work.
