Job summary

JLL is seeking an HVAC Engineer in Derby to design, install, and maintain air conditioning systems across commercial sites. You will perform PPMs, reactive maintenance, and provide quotes for remedial works, with experience on splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems and central plant.

Ideal candidates hold an NVQ3 or equivalent with F-Gas certification, and a valid UK driving licence. Flexibility for out-of-hours work and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (essential).
• F-Gas certification (essential).
• UK Driving Licence (required).
• Experience with splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems and central plant.
• Ability to work on call rota and out-of-hours when required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PPMs & reactive works as scheduled, including breakdowns.
• Perform installations or retrofits/ replacements of systems.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find on all A/C systems.
• Produce quotations for works/remedials after service visits.
• Work on splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems and some central plant."
• Work autonomously and with team members as needed.
• Complete FGAS paperwork and update client logbooks.
