Job summary

Rated Traders Ltd in City of London seeks an experienced HVAC Engineer to service, maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heat pumps, AHUs and ventilation. You will work alongside the M&E team to ensure safe, energy-efficient environments within occupied buildings.

You must hold NVQ Level 3 Refrigeration & AC, F-Gas Cat 1, and have hands-on experience with split, multi-split and VRV/VRF systems, plus competence with CAFM/mobile records and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Experience maintaining split, multi-split and VRV/VRF systems.
• Experience maintaining AHUs/FCUs and ventilation systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Experience delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Competence using mobile devices or CAFM systems for records.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair split, multi–split, VRV/VRF and DX systems.
• Maintain heat pumps, fan coil units, AHUs and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults and replace components such as compressors, valves, motors and sensors.
• Undertake refrigerant leak detection, recovery, pressure testing and system evacuation per F‑Gas.
• Carry out commissioning and seasonal performance inspections where required.
• Record findings and actions using CAFM and mobile devices on live sites.
• Liaise with school staff, contractors and colleagues; manage workload to meet targets.
• Complete risk assessments and comply with safety procedures.
