An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Additionally, you will undertake regular store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
2. Servicing and repairing mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, and FCUs.
3. Performing minor alterations and installations within your technical competence according to current specifications.
4. Ordering spares following laid-down procedures.
5. Identifying non-repairable faults and advising the HVAC supervisor with recommendations for replacements.

Qualifications / Experience:

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent qualification.
• ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A) as a minimum.
• Desirable but not essential: ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN, CENWAT, CPA), City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1, City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.

The ideal candidate:

• Flexible to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (every 1:4 weeks).
• Full driving license.
• Experience using PDA systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in retail environments.
