Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join their team in Falkirk, covering commercial and client sites. The role focuses on maintenance, fault finding and service of HVAC systems.

You will work with VRV/VRF, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps and BMS controls; a valid UK driving licence is required. The position offers progression and ongoing training, with a salary up to £47,000 DOE and benefits including pension and leave.

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical services knowledge required.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ/City & Guilds/HVAC qualifications.
• F-Gas certification where applicable.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification desirable.
• IPAF/PASMA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM on HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance and diagnose faults.
• Carry out repairs and remedial HVAC works.
• Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
• Complete routine inspections and document maintenance records.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Submit service reports and maintain client relations.
• Participate in an on-call rota.

HVAC Engineer - Falkirk - Salary up to £47,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team, working across a range of commercial and client sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in heating, ventilation and air conditioning to join a growing business and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs and remedial works to HVAC equipment.
• Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major faults.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Complete service reports, job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety procedures.
• Work in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and clients.
• Provide a high standard of customer service at all times.
• Participate in an on-call rota where required.

The successful candidate may have experience working with some or all of the following:

• VRV / VRF systems
• Split and multi-split systems

Person Specification:

• Previous experience working as an HVAC Engineer, Air Conditioning Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical services.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to complete paperwork and service reports accurately.
• Flexible approach to working across different client sites
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
• City & Guilds or equivalent HVAC qualifications.
• F-Gas certification, where applicable.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification, desirable.
• IPAF / PASMA, desirable.
