Company Description
Job Description
Location: Bristol (hybrid working)
At EDF, we're offering more than just a job - we're offering a career that will deliver real change.
Right now, we're looking for an HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project - one of the most complex and ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering the nuclear island and laying the foundations for Sizewell C replication.
The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018. It is responsible for designing and realizing nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
EDF EPR Engineering UK specifically handles the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and prepares the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC, we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes.
For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and early design studies are underway, managed from both France and the UK.
In this role, you'll work at the heart of the HPC commissioning team, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of HVAC commissioning documentation and processes. You'll interface with a wide range of stakeholders - from design and construction teams to senior commissioning leaders - helping turn complex plans into operational reality.
Pay, benefits and culture
Alongside a competitive salary between £55,000 - £60,000, bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package includes benefits such as enhanced parental leave, electric vehicle leasing, health insurance, product discounts, critical illness insurance, technology vouchers, gym membership, and season ticket loans.
We embrace flexibility and support collaboration, connection, and comfort whether you're working in our offices, on-site, or remotely. Our priority is to ensure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, aiming for an equal gender balance and a broad representation of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, those with disabilities, and socially mobile individuals. We are a disability confident employer and will assist with reasonable adjustments upon request.
Our environment fosters diversity, where different backgrounds and experiences drive innovation. We support your pursuit of a personal and fulfilling career, recognizing that success means different things to different people.
