Job summary

Thornhvac, based near Southampton, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our small yet busy HVAC team. You will support customers on projects in air conditioning and heat pumps, review drawings, assess heat loads, and prepare fully costed quotations.

The ideal candidate has working knowledge of HVAC products, prior office experience in applications or pre-sales, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC products, including air conditioning and heat pumps.
• Experience in applications/pre-sales, estimating or project support in HVAC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with solutions for HVAC projects, typically AC and heat pump installations.
• Review drawings, assess heat loss and loads, and select equipment with manufacturer's tools.
• Prepare a full bill of materials and a fully costed quotation.
