Job summary

Flat Fee Recruiter seeks a Senior Siteworks Manager to lead an established HVAC/siteworks function in Greater Manchester. You will oversee AHU refurbishments, HVAC maintenance and mechanical projects from survey through delivery to completion.

The role combines technical HVAC knowledge with team leadership, customer liaison and project management. You will manage Site Supervisors, work with the Site Coordinator, and drive service, refurbishment and modification works while ensuring safety,

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC knowledge including AHUs and building services.
• Experience leading site-based teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Proven ability to plan, budget and deliver on time and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop Site Supervisors and coordinate with Site Coordinator.
• Plan works, allocate resources and ensure projects are prepared.
• Conduct HVAC and mechanical site surveys and assessments.
• Provide guidance and resolve on-site issues.
• Develop solutions for AHU refurbishments, repairs and upgrades.
• Deliver siteworks safely, on time and within budget.
• Liaise with customers and attend site meetings as needed.
• Prepare quotations for service, maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure risk assessments and safe methods of work are in place.
• Identify opportunities for ongoing service and maintenance.

HVAC / AHU Site Works Manager

• Greater Manchester
• £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience + Company Vehicle
• Permanent, Full-Time

An established HVAC and mechanical engineering business is looking for an experienced Siteworks Manager to take responsibility for the management and coordination of its site-based activities.

This is a varied role combining HVAC and air handling technical knowledge, team management, project delivery and customer liaison.

The successful candidate will manage a team of Site Supervisors, work closely with the Site Coordinator, and oversee service, refurbishment and mechanical site projects from initial survey and quotation through to planning, delivery and completion.

Site activities include air handling unit (AHU) refurbishment, HVAC maintenance, mechanical modifications, repairs, upgrades and replacement works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, support and develop the Site Supervisors, monitoring performance, workmanship and standards.
• Work closely with the Site Coordinator to plan works, allocate resources and ensure projects are properly prepared.
• Carry out and coordinate HVAC and mechanical site surveys and technical assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and make decisions when problems or unexpected conditions arise on site.
• Develop practical solutions for AHU repairs, refurbishment, modifications and upgrades.
• Manage siteworks projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Liaise directly with customers and attend site meetings where required.
• Prepare and support quotations for service, maintenance, refurbishment, repair and modification works.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure appropriate risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures are in place.
• Identify opportunities for refurbishment, energy-efficiency improvements and ongoing service and maintenance work.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong practical and technical background in HVAC, air handling, mechanical building services or facilities engineering, together with experience managing site-based personnel.

You should have:

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, air handling units (AHUs) or mechanical building services.
• Experience within HVAC service, maintenance, refurbishment, installation or mechanical projects.
• Previous experience managing engineers, Site Supervisors, service engineers or site-based teams.
• The ability to carry out site surveys, identify technical problems and develop practical solutions.
• Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
• Strong project management, organisational and customer-facing skills.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs.
• A full UK driving licence.

Experience with air handling equipment including fans, motors, coils, filters, dampers, controls and heat recovery systems would be advantageous.
