Job summary

Ørsted is seeking a capable Transmission operations professional to lead day-to-day delivery of planned, corrective, troubleshooting, and campaign work within the UK offshore transmission team. You will coordinate with managers, planners and engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.

You will supervise technicians and contractors, provide technical guidance, and support competence development while ensuring accurate records in SAP or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, control systems and related equipment.
• Proven ability to supervise technicians and contractors and provide clear direction.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work, lifting operations and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead planned, corrective, troubleshooting, and campaign activities to ensure safe, efficient delivery and quality.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians, specialists, and contractors and support competence development.
• Coordinate offshore logistics, tools, equipment, materials, and work-pack readiness with the Transmission Manager and support teams.
• Provide immediate technical support, escalate complex issues, and contribute to root-cause analysis and defect elimination.

Join us in this role where you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of planned, corrective, troubleshooting, and campaign work. You'll provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors, coordinate offshore activities, and help ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

You'll be part of the Transmission team where you, together with your colleagues, will operate and maintain our transmission assets and deliver the weekly work schedule. You'll work closely with the Transmission Manager, Planning and Scheduling, Technical Planners, Operations, Engineering, and Logistics to coordinate safe and effective execution.

You'll play an important role in:

• leading and coordinating planned, corrective, troubleshooting, and campaign activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards
• supervising, coaching, and providing technical guidance to technicians, specialists, and contractors, while supporting competence development and knowledge sharing
• coordinating personnel, offshore logistics, tools, equipment, materials, and work-pack readiness in collaboration with the Transmission Manager and relevant support teams
• providing immediate technical support, escalating complex issues when required, and contributing to troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect elimination
• promoting a strong safety culture through visible leadership, effective risk management, toolbox talks, safety briefings, observations, near-miss reporting, and stop-work authority
• maintaining accurate work orders, technical records, parts usage, and supporting documentation in SAP or other approved systems

To succeed in the role, you:

• have strong maintenance execution and troubleshooting capability across electrical, mechanical, control, and associated systems
• demonstrate safety leadership and have practical knowledge of safe systems of work, lifting operations, working at height, and incident investigation
• have experience supervising technicians, specialists, or contractors and can provide clear direction, coaching, and technical guidance
• understand work management processes and can maintain accurate, high-quality records in SAP, a computerised maintenance management system, or an equivalent system
• hold a relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent experience
• can make sound operational decisions, manage changing priorities, ensure accountability, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
