Job summary

Rullion Engineering Cumbria in Portmadog, Wales, is seeking a Project Manager to lead HV Cable and HV Plant subcontractors, ensuring design deliverables align with program and project requirements. You will oversee the HV designer and subcontractor design activities, manage MEP design work, and coordinate interface meetings with external parties, ensuring compliance with client scope and specifications.

The role requires extensive experience on high voltage projects and National Grid contracts,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on high voltage projects.
• National Grid Competent Person certification.
• SMSTS qualification.
• CDM knowledge.
• Experience on Design & Build projects as a Principal Contractor (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager to ensure all HV and MEP design deliverables are timely provided as per the design programmes.
• Review designers’ monthly reports and submissions and produce monthly reports on design progress and any other design-specific elements.
• Manage and update the design deliverable schedule.
• Review all design deliverables and ensure they are completed to the expected standard, challenging and resolving issues when necessary, including review of all drawings in line with the client’s scope/requirements.
• Attend interface meetings with external parties and assign/follow up on actions related to the design.
• Manage all works, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with project specification, programme and commercial requirements.
• Work with the Project Team to produce, maintain and manage the project Integrated Management Plan and all associated documentation, ensuring all other required project-management plans for the construction phase are produced, approved and briefed to all appropriate persons and organisations.
