Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Service business, supporting HV, switchgear and transformer projects across the UK and Europe.

You will act as the technical lead, coordinating design activities, engaging with customers and suppliers, and ensuring safe, efficient project delivery to high quality standards. You will travel to customer sites and manufacturing/engineering facilities for workshops and design reviews, with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and engineering aspects of projects from concept to completion and handover.
• Deliver high-quality engineering solutions meeting customer requirements, standards and Hitachi Energy expectations.
• Drive customer satisfaction with proactive technical leadership and successful project execution.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews and project meetings with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance including RAMS review, test plans, installation methodologies and tender documentation.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to support project delivery.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Identify and manage technical risks across the project lifecycle.
