Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Scotland is hiring an LE3 Overhead Line Technician to install, build, refurbish and maintain high-voltage overhead lines up to 400kV, on site with a strong safety focus. You will join an experienced OHL team and work across projects that support national infrastructure.

You will travel as needed, perform tasks safely, and contribute to delivering reliable power transmission while upholding quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• OHL skills and experience are required.
• Full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Flexibility to travel across the UK is expected.
• Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, build and refurbish overhead power lines.
• Support earthing, piloting, conductor running and jointing.
• Follow risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Use PPE, lifting equipment and fall-arrest systems correctly.
• Work with an experienced OHL team to maintain safety standards.
• Report incidents and near misses promptly to maintain site safety.
