Job summary

OCU Group is expanding its overhead line operations to support a growing portfolio of electrical network and new connections projects across the UK. As an LE2 Linesman, you'll play a key role in the construction, reinforcement, maintenance, and alteration of overhead line networks, helping to deliver safe and reliable electricity infrastructure for homes, businesses, and communities.

Qualifications

• Current LE2 authorisation.
• Proven experience working on LV and 11kV overhead line networks.
• Experience carrying out overhead line construction, maintenance, and network alteration activities.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and utility industry safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret job packs, drawings, and operational instructions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering work to a high standard.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out overhead line construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and dismantling activities across LV and 11kV networks.
• Support the delivery of new connections, diversions, reinforcement works, and network upgrades.
• Install, replace, and maintain poles, conductors, stays, fittings, and associated overhead line equipment.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all site activities.
• Work closely with Supervisors, Site Managers, and operational teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Complete site records, inspection reports, and project documentation accurately and on time.
• Update digital workforce management systems and provide progress updates as required.
• Assist with fault response and emergency works where required.
• Ensure company vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
