Job summary

X4 Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design HV/LV utility networks from concept to approval. You will work within a multi-disciplinary design team and liaise with DNOs/IDNOs, clients and stakeholders to deliver compliant, robust networks for residential developments.

The role requires hands-on HV/LV substation design, knowledge of ENA standards, CDM regulations and strong communication to mentor junior engineers and manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing LV and HV electrical utility networks and substations.
• Understanding of residential utility infrastructure and DNO/IDNO design requirements.
• Knowledge of ENA standards, CDM Regulations and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke HV/LV networks and earthing systems for residential developments.
• Produce compliant network and substation designs per regulatory requirements.
• Obtain design approvals from DNOs/IDNOs and provide technical guidance to teams.
