Job summary

Statkraft is seeking a HV Field Service Engineer to cover maintenance on switchgear and power plants up to 400 kV across the UK. The role includes SAP training, fault response, project support, and supervision of engineering work on site.

Travel is extensive, with remote work options from home or UK offices. Candidates should have an HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, experience in the energy sector, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• SAP Authorisation would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of O&M works processes.
• High standard of HSE awareness.

Statkraft Energy Ltd is the Operations & Maintenance side of Statkraft within the UK. The Technical department operates across the whole of the UK, is responsible for all UK High Voltage Assets, Grid Services Sites, providing assistance in all technical aspects of daily operations and projects

We are currently recruiting for a HV Field Service Engineer, with the role open to candidates based anywhere in the UK. This position requires regular travel to multiple operational sites across the country. When site attendance is not required, the successful candidate will work remotely from home or from one of Statkraft’s UK office locations

Job Description

• Work on maintenance aspects of our electricity switchgear and plant up to and including 400kV (training and development will be on offer to get you Authorised up to 400kV)
• SAP training and development
• Investigate alarms from the system and provide fault response
• Support with the delivery of projects
• Follow up on execution of planned and corrective maintenance tasks
• Supervise engineering work onsite
• Assess the technical requirements for ongoing projects

Qualifications

• Relevant experience from within the energy sector
• Demonstrable experience of working on the electrical network, ideally dealing with LV and HV plant maintenance
• Previous SAP Authorisation would be advantageous.
• A good understanding of O&M works processes
• Have a high standard of HSE awareness
