Job summary

Orion Group in the Highlands is seeking a Project Manager to lead transformative HV engineering projects across Scotland, from feasibility through construction, with a focus on North East and Highland regions.

You will manage multiple projects, oversee technical and financial performance, coordinate vendors and subcontractors, develop detailed plans, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery within the UK energy sector.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HV/EHV projects or cable/installation work in energy/utilities.
• Track record delivering large-scale projects within engineering, construction, or power distribution.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations including CDM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and financial performance of multiple projects.
• Define and lead the project team with clear reporting structures.
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors with clear points of contact.
• Develop detailed project plans with activity schedules and invoicing milestones.
• Manage contract administration and documentation of changes.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across project lifecycle.
• Enhance tender competitiveness through analysis and option development.
