Job summary

Orion Group is seeking a Construction Manager to lead site activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of infrastructure projects across Scotland. You will work with Project Manager, Site Managers and subcontractors to manage performance, resources and coordination, while maintaining CDM compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or equivalent safety qualification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and HSE requirements.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and multiple fronts.
• CSCS/ECS card relevant to the role and site responsibilities.
• Good communication skills and driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Leads site construction activities aligning with programme and design specs across mobilisation and construction.
• Monitor progress, identify blockers, and implement resolutions promptly.
• Coordinate sequencing and resourcing to optimise efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Manage interfaces between subcontractors, suppliers, OEMs and internal delivery team.
• Ensure readiness for energisation, inspections and milestone handovers.
