Job summary

Getlink is seeking a Power Supply Technician to maintain electrical equipment across Terminals and tunnels, including lighting and HV/MV distribution. The postholder will work within the Power Supply team, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role may involve shift work and on-call duty. Essential qualifications include electrical engineering NVQ Level 3 and experience with industrial HV maintenance, plus the ability to read diagrams and work

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering (equivalent to NVQ Level 3).
• Experience in industrial high-voltage electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/diagrams.
• Ability to investigate faults and make safety-focused technical decisions.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to complete internal/external training for competence and autonomy.
• Willingness and ability to undertake shift work and participate in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance on electrical distribution equipment (busbars, transformers, cables, protection equipment, lighting).
• Respond to control centre requests, investigate faults and safely return systems to operation.
• Monitor equipment condition via thermography, partial-discharge monitoring and visual inspections.
• Identify, report defects, non-compliance and safety risks.
• Work from drawings, wiring diagrams and maintenance instructions.
• Complete work orders, inspection records and intervention reports.
• Support continuity and safety of operations and improve maintenance documentation.
• Support photovoltaic specialists when required.
