Job summary

People in Power is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead pre-construction activities for high-voltage infrastructure projects across the UK. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure early-stage works align with programme, budget and safety requirements.

The role focuses on planning, risk assessment, and handover readiness for HV/EHV cable installations and related civil works, driving a strong safety culture and effective collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience managing utility or infrastructure projects within the power sector.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through pre-construction phases.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and commercial interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-construction projects from planning through to handover.
• Coordinate HV/EHV cable installation and civil works activities.
• Monitor programme, safety and budget performance in pre-construction.
• Produce project plans, schedules and progress reports.
• Lead site teams and subcontractors during pre-construction.
• Review RAMS and site documentation for compliance.
