Job summary

People In Power is recruiting an Engineering Project Manager for a national Tier 1 EPC, focusing on pre-construction delivery of HV cable routes. You will lead feasibility studies, develop technical solutions, and coordinate design teams to ensure buildable, commercially viable schemes.

Ideal candidates have strong civil engineering experience in utilities and a track record with complex crossings, HDD or trenching, plus proactive stakeholder engagement with DNOs, highways and rail authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong civil engineering experience within utilities
• Experience delivering HV cable routes or major utility projects
• Knowledge of HDD, trenchless methods, TBM or trenching
• Experience engaging with organisations such as National Highways, Network Rail or other statutory bodies
• Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination
• Commercial awareness balancing technical, programme and cost considerations

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility and optioneering studies for HV cable routes
• Develop engineering solutions for crossings including highways, rail, rivers, tunnels and other constrained environments
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to produce buildable solutions
• Act as the technical link between design, pre-construction and operational delivery teams
• Manage project programmes, technical deliverables and engineering milestones
• Oversee engineering quality, safety and compliance throughout project delivery
• Build strong relationships with clients, DNOs, statutory authorities and key stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate engineering and delivery risks before construction begins
• Support commercial performance, budgets and project reporting
