Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for HV connections design on a major DNO framework. Projects span 33kV to 132kV, including new connections, asset replacement and diversions.

You will analyse network performance, develop robust, cost-effective solutions, assess generation connections, and prepare clear business cases for authorisation within timescales. Remote working is supported, with a Yorkshire preference.

Qualifications

  • HV connections / HV network design between 33kV-132kV for DNO/IDNO/ICP
  • Knowledge of Electricity Network Regulations and NERS requirements
  • Understanding of DNO/IDNO design standards and scheme approval processes
  • Application of ENA Engineering Recommendations and industry standards
  • Knowledge of Grid Code protections settings and network protection
  • Awareness of Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) requirements
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Design and cost 33kV-132kV network projects including new connections, asset replacement and diversions
  • Analyse network issues and develop cost-effective solutions to improve performance
  • Assess generation connections and raise Witness Testing jobs per requirements
  • Prepare concise business cases for authorisation and timely delivery of Production Plan
  • Determine Point of Connection (POC) for load and generation enquiries on HV networks up to 132kV
  • Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings to support project delivery
