Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead HV connections design for 33kV–132kV schemes within a major DNO framework. The role involves tracking project costs, developing robust technical solutions and liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Candidates will analyse performance issues, assess generation connections and prepare concise business cases within agreed timescales, with site visits and POC determinations as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• HV connections at 33–132kV with a DNO/IDNO/ICP.
• Knowledge of ENA engineering recommendations.
• Understanding of grid protection and safety requirements.
• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost 33kV–132kV network projects.
• Analyse network issues and propose robust solutions.
• Assess generation connections and witness testing.
• Prepare concise business cases for authorisation.
• Determine Point of Connection for new load and generation.
• Undertake site visits and stakeholder meetings.
