Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced HV Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning across multiple UK projects. The role requires ownership of testing, energisation and handover, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership and people management.

The successful candidate will manage commissioning programmes, oversee engineers and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with UK safety rules and industry standards while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Qualifications

• HV substation and electrical infrastructure commissioning experience in the UK.
• Experience managing engineers and subcontractors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of UK safety rules and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning programmes from planning to energisation and handover.
• Lead and develop a team of Commissioning Engineers.
• Act as technical lead for commissioning-related matters.
• Review and approve commissioning plans and documentation.
• Support FAT and SAT activities.
• Collaborate with design, delivery and construction teams.
• Manage client relationships and progress meetings.
• Ensure activities meet safety standards.
• Provide technical support for bids when required.
