Job summary

Turner Lovell is recruiting a Head of Commissioning for a UK utility infrastructure contractor delivering power connections for data centres, renewables and industrial projects. You will own commissioning across 11kV-132kV substations and cable circuits, with potential expansion to 275kV/400kV projects across the UK, and you will set technical standards while guiding projects to energisation.

Qualifications

Track record leading commissioning teams within a DNO, TSO or ICP.
At least five years UK experience as a Commissioning Engineer or Senior Authorised Person (11kV-132kV).
Strong knowledge of HV plant, cables, protection & control, plus Distribution Safety Rules, G81 standards, NERS requirements.

Responsibilities

Build, lead and develop commissioning engineers and sub-contractors across multiple projects.
Establish and maintain technical standards, processes and best practice across the commissioning function.
Lead commissioning from design reviews through testing, energisation and handover.
Set commissioning plans, resolve technical issues and coordinate with clients and network operators.
Deliver safely, on programme and within budget.
