Role Overview

We are currently looking to bring on board an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our growing Renewable Energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning of large-scale solar PV farms and battery systems across the UK, as well as SAP/CE for Ethical Power.

What will you be doing?

1. Ensuring as-built drawings/documents are marked up correctly and updated where necessary.
2. Producing all commissioning documentation, including programmes and test procedures.
3. Managing all commissioning activities within large solar farm projects (from HV connection to modules and auxiliary systems such as active management systems, SCADA, etc.).
4. Managing G99 requirements.
5. Managing interface activities with ICP.
6. Facilitating transition from construction to operations & maintenance (O&M).
7. Attending FAT as required.
8. Providing SAP training if necessary.
9. Supporting AP personnel within the business.
10. Working with Quality & Compliance to ensure all requirements are met by the commissioning team.
11. Coordinating activities from all suppliers’ and subcontractors’ commissioning teams during both Cold and Hot Commissioning periods.
12. Planning early-stage and final testing and commissioning of the project.
13. Ensuring quality assurance for the complete electrical installation.
14. Supporting documentation handover.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience commissioning large-scale Solar PV farms and BESS.
• SAP/CE experience.
• Knowledge and experience of G99/G100 testing.
• Flexible approach with the ability to travel across various sites within the UK and work away from home.
