Job summary

AVENTA is seeking an experienced installation engineer to lead HV land cable installation solutions for UK projects. You will turn contractual specs into technical packages, coordinate with civil and installation subcontractors and ensure alignment with HSE standards and client requirements.

You will also prepare drawings, method statements and technical descriptions, while supporting cost estimates and project planning.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record in civil works or HV land cable projects.
Experience creating installation method statements, layouts and technical documentation.
Experience managing civil or installation subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Elaborate and finalise the technical installation solution for HV land cable systems in line with contractual specifications.
Prepare General Arrangement and layout drawings and method statements for trenches, ducts, galleries, tunnels, transition joint bays and substations.
Draft technical specifications and RFQs for civil works and installation subcontractors; evaluate proposals.
Develop detailed installation cost estimates and Plan of Work; feed inputs to the project baseline schedule.
