Job summary

Turner Lovell seeks an HV Cable Engineer to join a growing team, supporting a portfolio of high-voltage transmission projects across the UK energy transition. You will work across the full lifecycle from design and route development to construction, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HV underground cable systems and their applications in transmission.
• Experience with cable design, engineering, specification or technical assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assure HV underground cable systems across major projects.
• Carry out cable engineering studies including current rating and route assessments.
• Prepare technical requirements and specifications for new cable systems.
• Review designs and submissions from consultants and suppliers.
• Provide cable engineering support during construction, testing and commissioning.
