Job summary

Huttoft Primary and Nursery School is looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant. This temporary, part-time role (21 hours Teaching Assistant + 1.5 hours SMSA per week) runs for 39 weeks/year, with scale point details included in the salary section.

Huttoft Primary and Nursery School KS2 Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with teachers to support, guide and help our children succeed
• Assist with the planning and preparation of activities, and in the delivery of local and
  national initiatives e.g. literacy and numeracy strategy
• Be familiar with relevant Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other individual plans for the pupils you support.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Responsible for the supervision of pupils during the midday break maintaining discipline and creating a positive atmosphere.
• Distribute meals, wash and stack away tables, chairs, and clean dining area as required.
• A temporary, part-time role of 21 hours per week Teaching Assistant and 1.5 hours per week SMSA for 39 weeks per year, initially until 31 August 2027.
• Salary upon appointment for Teaching Assistant role Grade 3 Scale Point 6 £24,796 (actual £13,720).
• Salary upon appointment for SMSA role Grade 2 Scale Point 3 £24,515 (actual £851).
