Job summary

A leading health care provider in the UK is seeking a Huntingtons Disease Specialist Nurse to support and elevate the standard of care for residents in their homes. This role involves collaborating with clinical teams, implementing care initiatives, and developing training tailored to the needs of patients with Huntington's Disease. The ideal candidate has at least two years of specialist nursing experience, a valid NMC PIN, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in a specialist nurse role.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Huntingtons Disease.
  • Evidence of further professional development in care or management.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of initiatives to improve quality of life.
  • Develop effective working practices.
  • Establish understanding of needs for those with HD.
  • Tailor and deliver colleague training.
  • Develop HD Champion role and link with local HD networks.
  • Support Operational Team and offer coaching.
  • Assist with development of quality policies and procedures.
  • Build external brand reputation for HD care.
