Job summary

CoMech Metrology Ltd seeks a Sales Executive to drive new business across the Midlands and North of England. This field-based role focuses on prospecting, cold calling, and face-to-face customer visits to win opportunities and build a robust pipeline.

You will work with the Head of Sales UK and our technical teams to tailor calibration services, negotiate terms, and hand over customers for delivery. A proactive hunter mentality and full UK driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience and a demonstrable track record of achieving or working towards sales targets.
• Experience of generating new business, prospecting for customers and developing new commercial relationships.
• Confident in making cold calls and undertaking regular outbound prospecting.
• Able to visit prospective customers face-to-face; predominantly field-based role.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly across the Midlands and North of England.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of developing new business opportunities across the Midlands and North of England.
• Research target markets, companies and key decision makers to identify prospective customers and generate new sales leads.
• Arrange and attend regular meetings and visits with prospective customers to understand their requirements and promote CoMech's calibration services.
• Build relationships with key decision makers and influencers to acquire new customers and generate revenue.
• Plan and manage diary, territory and customer visits to maintain prospecting and engagement.
• Manage leads, enquiries, quotations and opportunities to a timely outcome and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Prepare professional presentations and proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms within company parameters.
• Collaborate with technical/operational teams for handover of new business and support bids/tenders when required.
• Represent CoMech at exhibitions, trade shows and customer events.
