Job summary

Moore Teachers is working with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who can inspire students across the Humanities curriculum and deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and academic success.

Holders of QTS or equivalent qualification, with recent UK secondary school experience, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support pupil achievement.
  • Fulfill teaching duties including planning, marking, parents' evenings, and departmental meetings.

Humanities Teacher

The Role:
  • Teaching Humanities subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil achievement
  • Full teaching responsibilities may include planning, marking, assessments, parents' evenings, and departmental meetings
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has recent experience teaching Humanities within a UK secondary school
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Is passionate about helping students reach their full potential
  • Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
